One of the Worst Customer Service Experiences I Have Had
I am leaving this review because the problem here was far beyond ordinary poor service.
Restaurants can be busy. Orders can be delayed. Staff can make mistakes. None of those things are the reason I am writing this review.
The problem was the way the staff member treated us.
Throughout our interaction, the waiter repeatedly behaved as though listening to the customer was beneath him. When we tried to explain ourselves, he did not genuinely listen. Instead, he dismissed what we were saying and responded with an arrogant and condescending attitude.
There was a very uncomfortable sense that he believed he had authority over the customer. Rather than trying to resolve the situation professionally, he treated the interaction almost like a confrontation that he needed to win.
We remained respectful and attempted to communicate normally, but his attitude continued.
At some point, the behavior became so disrespectful that the staff member actually swore at us.
I have traveled to many countries and experienced all kinds of restaurants and customer service. I can accept cultural differences, language difficulties, misunderstandings, and even occasional mistakes.
What I cannot accept is being deliberately treated without basic dignity and respect after paying for a service.
The food may be completely fine, but a restaurant is not only about food. The way customers are treated is an essential part of the experience.
What should have been a simple meal during our trip ended up affecting our entire day and becoming one of the worst memories of our visit.
Most disappointing of all, this experience significantly damaged the positive impression I had of Sweden before coming here. I know that one employee cannot represent an entire country, but when a visitor is treated this way, it is inevitable that the experience influences how they remember the destination.
I sincerely hope the management reviews how customers are being treated and makes it clear that arrogance, disrespect, and profanity toward customers should never be acceptable.
Good food can be forgotten. Being treated with disrespect is not.
