Claiming to be the oldest gay bar in Brighton, The Bulldog has been welcoming patrons since the late 1970s, and its traditional charms are still on full display half a century later. Though it's been refurbished over the years, it retains the simple, unfussy setting and all-are-welcome approach that distinguishes the best boozers. You can sing karaoke here, and once the dance floor starts up, the nights have a penchant for going long.
