Lucky Yu Bakery is one of E17's most precious hidden gems. This true passion project doesn't have a dedicated venue or regular opening hours. Instead, local baker Hai Lin Leung pops open her kitchen window every fortnight or so to sell bread and baked goods inspired by her Cantonese heritage – sesame soy congee sourdough, egg and tomato buns, bo lo baos, and more. The limited production capacity means preorders sell out quickly and there's always a queue, but you might get lucky just walking up – there are always items available on the day only.

Top-notch local bakery, shot straight to the top of my ranking of London bakeries. Everything we tried was so good here. Def grab a loaf of sesame soy congee, and you can never have too many pineapple buns.
