St. John's doughnuts have gained a cult following over the years, and it's not hard to see why. You used to only be able to get your hands on them on the weekend, but now, the main bakery is open every day, so you can get your doughnut fix throughout the entire week. Their doughnuts are of the traditional variety and are made by twice-proving the dough and frying them before dusting them with caster sugar. They come filled with vanilla custard, raspberry jam and another range of flavours.

Neat little bakery and coffee shop. Had one of the famous doughnuts and it was very nice, with an incredible vanilla filling. Also bought a mince pie for later and it was hands down the best mince pie I’ve ever had. Coffee was decent but nothing special.
