The Punch Bowl

Film director Guy Richie once owned this once posh pub; these days, it's a little more relaxed with a first-floor dining room and a downstairs space dedicated more towards drinking. The Grade II-listed pub opened its doors in 1729 but later underwent a grand refurbishment. Despite this glow-up, the history and heritage of the original pub can still be felt throughout, with Victorian charm and Georgian touches.

You can enjoy everything from real ales and single-malt Scotch whiskies to classic pub lagers on the ground floor. The food menu is chock-full of traditional British dishes, like Cornish lobster and rare breed steaks. There's also an impressive wine list any budding oenophiles will want to check out.

There are also regular events at the pub, including butchery masterclasses, wine tastings, and seasonal activities like a spectacular Burns Night celebration in their dedicated whisky dining room, with a four-course meal and a traditional address and piping ceremony.
