Tucked away in an old Victorian lavatory beneath street level, WC Wine & Charcuterie in Bloomsbury is the kind of place you’ll want to keep to yourself - but can’t help recommending to everyone you know. I visited on a Saturday evening with a friend and instantly fell for the cosy, intimate atmosphere. Despite the weekend buzz outside, the bar felt like a calm little hideaway -ideal for a long catch-up over a glass of wine.
We ordered a cheese platter to share, paired with a couple of glasses of bubbles, and were seriously impressed. The quality was great, the portions generous, and the prices surprisingly kind. It’s rare to find somewhere in central London that feels both special and relaxed without breaking the bank.
Whether you’re a Londoner looking to escape the crowds or showing visitors a different side of the city, WC Bloomsbury is the kind of spot that turns into a go-to. A true hidden gem - just don’t forget to look down, or you might miss it.
