Dating back to medieval times, as evidenced by the remnants of a moat, Valence House Museum is the only remaining manor house in Dagenham. It features a collection of more than 20,000 objects telling the story of the local area from prehistoric times to today. There are also a tranquil herb garden, family history archive and tea room you can visit.
