Gloucester Gate Playground has been a mainstay for children's play since the 1930s. However, it had a complete refurbishment in 2019 and 2020, where an old metal playground was replaced by equipment made from natural materials like wood, rope, bark and willow. The new space is almost twice the size of the old one and features a 50-metre zip line, climbing frames, swings, slides, a sandpit and a water play area. There's also a wheelchair-accessible roundabout.
