In past times, Wallingford Castle was a major medieval castle in Oxfordshire, constructed in 1067. Today it's in ruins but you can still visit it and the 16.6 hectares of meadowland that surrounds it, known as Wallingford Castle Meadows. It's an interesting riverside destination to visit. These dramatic ruins are popular with walkers or for photo opportunities.
