Now run by the second generation since splintering from the nearby Mangal 1, Mangal 2 is a well-known Turkish ocakbaşi restaurant in Dalston. The large open charcoal grill for which this style of cuisine is named is the basis for a refined Anatolian-inspired menu that updates traditional specialties for contemporary times. You can't go wrong with a fresh sourdough pide or some kofte while waiting for the grilled goods to arrive, and the desserts such as carob cake are worth special mention as well.

Elevated Turkish food, really exciting stuff happening here. The sourdough pide is a stand put, but everything we had here was utterly delicious.
