Raaz

Helmed by a chef with extensive experience in the fine dining industry, Raaz has brought contemporary Indian fusion south of the river.

Raaz (meaning “secret” in Hindi) is a vibey Putney restaurant launched in autumn 2025 by distinguished chef Imran Mansuri, who refined his skills and expertise at some of the best-known Indian restaurants in London, including the Michelin-starred Benares, Tamarind of Mayfair, and Jamavar, before serving as executive chef at Soho's bastion of Sri Lankan flavours, Kolamba.

Having opened his inaugural solo venture, Chef Mansuri puts the full breadth of his knowledge to good use at Raaz, serving dishes that reimagine regional flavours from across India through contemporary techniques and approaches. The bold fine dining fusion spans punchy curries, tandoori-grilled specialities, classic chaat snacks, and more, with particular attention paid to a two or three-course weekend brunch menu. The bar complements the kitchen with Indian-inspired cocktails, a curated wine list, and other premium drink choices.

Just like the food, the venue itself reflects Chef Mansuri's experience and culinary philosophy, with colourful floral patterns and dark wood panelling combining in a trendy yet intimate setting, and curated music enhancing the ambiance. With confident cooking, a suave atmosphere, and accessible prices, Raaz is truly one of Putney's best-kept secrets.
