Wolkite er en restaurant på 82 Hornsey Rd i London.
Experience an authentic taste of Ethiopian cuisine at Wolkite. This friendly family-run restaurant is modest but enduringly popular. Get to know Ethiopian culture through the rich and heady dishes here, with traditional meat and vegetarian food served on top of injera that you eat with your hands. From the drinks menu, pick from a number of Ethiopian beers or traditional honey wine, known as tej.

I’ve eaten a lot of Ethiopian food but this place remains one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. It’s super low-key but the food is authentic, affordable, and the staff always make you feel welcome. The space has also been given a big makeover since they were closed due to flooding and it looks really cute now.
