Located in the village of Marple Bridge, The Northumberland Arms is a community owned pub – by the community, for the community. Considered one of the best pubs in the entire country, the Thumb, as it's affectionately called by locals, offers all the traditional pub comforts and more. Among other things, it hosts street-food vendors each week, organises an annual music festival, and runs community cycling, walking, and jogging clubs.
