Very unpleasant experience at Biblioteket Live. I used to genuinely love this place and would come here often, but after this experience, I will seriously think twice about ever coming back. At around 1 a.m., I tried to enter with my friend. The security guard physically pushed me aside and told me that the people who were behind me should go in first. They were not VIP. Those people were, in fact, heading in the same direction as my friend and me. When I asked the security guard why he was treating me this way, the only response I got was: “Now you can enter.” It is not about whether I was eventually allowed to enter. It is about the way I was treated. There was no explanation, no basic courtesy, and no respect. Honestly, if my friend had not been there, having travelled all the way from Germany, I probably would have simply turned around and left. At the end of the evening, I also spoke to the management to report what had happened, because I consider this kind of behaviour from security completely unacceptable. What is most disappointing is the fact that a place I once truly loved is now somewhere I avoid because of the behaviour of one person at the entrance. Security staff are there to maintain order and safety, but that does not give them the right to treat guests with disrespect. It is honestly shocking that uneducated, uncultured people, with no basic manners or home training, are standing at the door and deciding things for other people. Where is all of this going?! It is truly sad for such a beautiful place. I hope the management takes situations like this seriously and pays attention to the way their security staff communicate with and treat their guests.
