Good classic French bistro food. Some inventive twists. A solid restaurant where I can quickly become a regular customer. They have a great lunch formula with a glass of wine or alcohol free alternative. It’s perfect. It’s pricey but not above average for the area, which makes it fair given the quality.

At the moment they have a big issue with the entrance heater with blows really loudly every time someone comes in. It drove me nuts. I hope they fix it. Otherwise I can only go there in the summer.

Nice lunch for a change! Interesting South American flavours. They served a small starter salad and a truffle-style dessert for free.

I have been there several times over the years and never been either disappointed or particularly impressed. It’s a solid brunch, lunch and dinner place. But the other day I was invited there for dinner and imI did have a great time. I think it’s worth 4 stars because it has achieved and institutional status. I became instantly addicted to the löjromchips. Apparently they also have a “secret list” of wines. Ask for that.

Go there for fantastic classic cakes. In my opinion the chocolate cake is the best but the other ones are good too. The semlor are also very good.

By now, Meno Male is know for its standard setting pizzas. I only wish I could afford to make this my standard pizza joint… at 190 kronor per pizza, it makes fredagsmys an expensive affair for a whole family. But it’s definitely worth it once in a while. The quality of the pizzas as well as the ingredients are just amazing.

Great Bastard burgers there as at other sister restaurants. Their lunch deal makes it good value. The service in this restaurant is faster than in Vasastan from what I have experienced.

Old school and traditional. Go there if you want to feel like you are going back in time and want to eat typically Swedish food. Also good for a business lunch with people who work on that side of town. Not that easy to find a good business lunch place nearby. Don’t go there for innovation, a cosy romantic place or an elegant/exclusive atmosphere.

One of the best Italian restaurants in town. It continues to deliver delicious hand made pasta with a good selection of Italian wines. A restaurant you can count on to deliver. Also good for lunch.
