If you're a fan of meat, from T-bone steaks to ribs and burgers, the Hawksmoor restaurants are the place to go. The proprietors aim to be recognised as one of the best steak restaurants in the country and they seem to have been succeeding so far, restoring the reputation of British beef in the process. At their Air Street location, however, they've expanded into seafood as well, partnering with the chef of Dartmouth's acclaimed The Seahorse for refined seafood specialties. The venue is large and busy, spread out along the first floor overlooking Regent Street, with a dim, intimate ambiance.

Great place for a nice night out. The food is great from start to finish - highlights for me were the grilled monkfish, caesar salad, and sticky toffee pudding. Definitely have a Shaky Pete to go with it too. The place is big and busy, but not crowded, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
