Northern Soul Grilled Cheese knows very well that nothing hits the spot quite like a cheesy toastie, and they've made it their mission to serve the best ones around. It's hard to argue they aren't succeeding, too.

Admittedly, Northern Soul probably isn't the best choice if you're watching your daily intake. Or if you're a die-hard fan of one of Manchester City FC's rivals, for that matter, as the eatery is a proud partner of the club and regularly pitches up a stall in front of Etihad Stadium on match days.

That said, if you're a fan of indulgent comfort food the great American way, you'll want to put this place on your list. Northern Soul Grilled Cheese specialises in comforting grilled cheese sandwiches, laying a foundation with golden sourdough bread and their signature three-cheese blend. You can then choose from different toppings, for example jalapenos or marmite, to customise your sandwich. Pre-built options are available as well, such as the Manc with English sausage, caramelised onions, rocket, and Dijon mustard, or the Ham 'n' Chips with, you guessed it, ham and chips.

That's not all that's on the menu at this bright yellow venue, either. You'll find other decadent classics such as chicken wings, mac 'n' cheese, loaded waffle fries, fried pickles, and more here, accompanied by a selection of cocktails, beers, and other drinks. If you've got room, you can round off your meal with a hand-spun shake as well.

The bustling eatery with booths and some outside seats is always busy, so you might have to wait a bit or get a takeaway, but you won't be going hungry here, that's for sure.
